Since 1976

Tiferno was the ancient name of today's Città di Castello, a city in Umbria, a region known as the "Green heart of Italy".
The original settlement was from the Roman era, and with the passing of the centuries it became an increasingly important and industrious city, especially in the Renaissance period with the Vitelli family. Among the various activities, woodworking was flourishing.

Tiferno Mobili, which was founded in 1976 by Giulio Chiarioni and continues the business with his wife Susetta and his three children Gregorio, Filippo and Giulia, re-proposes the ancient productive legacy of handcrafted furniture, rethinking it and transforming it to adapt it to the needs of our time.
